Join us for these community-friendly events. Don’t feel the need to leave the kids at home during homecoming week! Illinois homecoming features a number of events that kids and families will love.

Homecoming 5K, Sunday, Oct. 13, 9am
Go for a casual jog or compete for the top spot on a course that runs through the beautiful Illinois campus.

Kickoff Celebration & Pancake Breakfast (Free), Sunday, Oct. 13 10:30am
Bring the family as we celebrate the start of homecoming week by dying the Alice Campbell Alumni Center fountain orange and enjoying a pancake breakfast.

Jim Gaffigan, State Farm Center, Thursday, Oct. 17, 8pm
Comedian Jim Gaffigan has new material and is bringing his Secrets & Pies tour to Champaign!

Paid parking is available in the lots surrounding the State Farm Center.

Homecoming Parade, Friday, Oct. 18 6pm
Line the campus streets and catch candy from student organizations and notable university & community figures.

Illinois football vs. Wisconsin, Saturday, Oct. 19 11 am
Cheer on the Fighting Illini football team as they take on the Wisconsin Badgers in Big Ten play. Tickets available at FightingIllini.com.

If you are attending an event on campus the following parking lots are available free of charge after 5pm on weekdays and on weekends (These lots are not available on football game days).

Catch us at the Urbana Farmer’s Market

On Saturday, Sept. 28, the Market at the Square in Urbana will be painted orange and blue as we celebrate our connection with this great community. We will be there to hand out free canvas grocery bags to shoppers as they browse through vendor booths.

The market is 7 am – 12 noon every Saturday (rain or shine) in the parking lot of the Lincoln Square Mall (Illinois & Vine in Urbana). Visit the Market at the Square website for more information.
