The University of Illinois 2020 Homecoming 5K is going VIRTUAL for this year’s celebration! This is a great event to raise excitement, adrenaline, and spirit for the best university out there. Run or walk 3.1 miles ANYWHERE you want in the world! You can run any 5k course you want whether on your treadmill, find a local park or just create your own in your neighborhood.
Show us your Illini pride by wearing your best and most creative UI swag. We encourage you to snap a photo along your route or at your finish line, post and tag it with #Illini5K for a chance at social media braggin’ rights! Print your virtual race bib here.
We encourage you to consider making a donation to IlliniThon. IlliniThon is a year-long fundraising organization benefiting St. John’s Children’s Hospital of Springfield, Illinois that culminates in a 12-hour student-run Dance Marathon every spring. Throughout the duration of the year, IlliniThon hosts events on campus and throughout the cities of Urbana-Champaign that engage students at the University of Illinois and families that are being treated at St. John’s Children’s Hospital.
