The Pride of the Illini: U of I Band Performs at Altgeld Hall
For any alumni, the Altgeld Chimes are a familiar sound—the soundtrack ringing out as you walk across campus. And on October 30, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of this iconic landmark with the Altgeld Chimes Centennial Concert, a musical celebration pairing the Marching Illini with our chimesmasters for a unique and memorable performance.

Join us LIVE today at 5pm CST as we honor the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Gene Honda, Illinois alum and in-venue voice of the Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks, will host a talk with Tal Brody (Basketball, ’65), Derek Harper (Basketball, ’83), Gia Lewis-Smallwood (Track & Field, ’02), Jenna Smith (Basketball, ’10), and Adam Tirapelle (Wrestling, ’01).
